„Jüdisches Leben in Deutschland – Traditionen, Kultur und Verfolgung“ ist das Thema des Seminarkurses im Schuljahr 2020/2021, mit dem sich unter Anleitung von Martin Gansen 17 Schülerinnen und Schüler des Wirtschaftsgymnasiums der Johann-Friedrich-von-Cotta-Schule in Stuttgart befassen.
Die Jugendlichen sprechen mit Expertinnen und Experten, nehmen an Vorträgen teil und besuchen Kultureinrichtungen. Danach verfassen sie Dokumentationen, die jeweils eine spezielle Fragestellung des Seminarkurses verfolgen. Ihre Eindrücke, Berichte und die Ergebnisse der Recherchen sind hier im Blog nachzulesen.
Mit dem Ende des Schuljahrs kommt auch der Seminarkurs zum Abschluss. Nach Recherchearbeit, Interviews, dem Verfassen der Seminararbeiten und deren Präsentationen, bot ein gemeinsames Essen auf dem Schulhof der Johann-Friedrich-von-Cotta Schule die Gelegenheit, das letzte Jahr Revue passieren zu lassen und noch offene Fragen zu klären.
Wie findet man nach Antisemitismuserfahrungen zurück ins Leben und wie wirken sie sich auf die Psyche aus? Woher kommen Klischees, und gibt es Gemeinsamkeit zwischen dem Judentum und anderen Religionen? Gibt es das Paradies auf Erden? Diesen ganz unterschiedlichen Fragestellungen sind fünf Schülerinnen nachgegangen.
Ein Thema, das viele Schülerinnen und Schüler bearbeitet haben, war der aktuelle Umgang mit Judenfeindlichkeit. Wo taucht sie auf, wie zeigt sie sich, was kann man dagegen tun? Um diesen Fragestellungen nachzugehen, untersuchten die Seminarkursteilnehmenden vor allem das Internet als Quelle, aber auch aktuelle wissenschaftliche Studien und eine Korpusanalyse wurden herangezogen.
Der Antisemitismusbeauftragte der Landesregierung, Michael Blume, stellte sich den Fragen zu den historischen Wurzeln des Antisemitismus und aktuellen antisemitischen Verschwörungsmythen.
„Sie war so ehrlich. Mich hat verwundert, dass sie trotz allem nach Deutschland gekommen ist und keine Schuldzuweisungen macht“, so Janas Eindruck, nachdem sie die Lebensgeschichte von Rachel Dror gehört hatte.
„Wie lebt man als Jude in Deutschland?“ diese Frage war Anlass für Lena Gorelik, das Buch „Lieber Mischa… der Du fast Schlomo Adolf Grinblum geheißen hättest, es tut mir so leid, dass ich Dir das nicht ersparen konnte: Du bist ein Jude“ zu schreiben. Ihrer Meinung nach sollte es Normalität sein, diese Frage nicht mehr zu stellen.
Als erste Gruppe nach langer Zeit der Schließung besuchte unser Seminarkurs am 14. Oktober 2020 die Stuttgarter Synagoge. Ein toller und nachdenklich machender Einblick in gelebte jüdische Kultur.
